Apologies for my lengthy absence!

Let me start out by kicking myself in the ass and blogging about it on social media (because that’s what we do now in the 21st century apparently) How LAME am I for completely bailing on my monthly challenge!? Right in the middle of it too! I wanted to give a shout out to all of the people who consistently liked, and reblogged work I created in that span of 2 weeks, you guys are amazing motivators! :)

But now, to properly explain myself and my rather extended absence. This has been a bit of a whirlwind summer. SInce the day after graduation in May I began to relentlessly apply for jobs…I pretty much became a professional resume sender. Then, by late June I went on a few interviews in Manhattan, and by the last week of June I got an offer to work at a Photography Agency! So Just like that I got sucked into the 9:30-6:30 commuting grind. But I’m loving it, the people are so awesome, and though I am a little bit strapped for free time it is only motivating me that much more to keep on creating and sharing my work.

On top of this, I finally got a new computer, which I am currently writing this post from! After much research and deliberation about whether to go mac or pc, with a little bit of help I ended up custom building a super fast and pretty PC. I’m kind of in love with it… its name is DA BOMB. XD. Plus it runs CS 6 like a dream, and I don’t know where to even begin! I’m really excited to get back into shooting, making more zines, and teaching myself graphic design.

So although I may have gone on a brief hiatus, fear not! I will be back soon with new things to share :D

10 Things I've Learned In The 2 Years Since I Graduated From Art School

samspratt:

I graduated from art school 2 years ago, here are some things I think I’ve learned. In the words of my current client, Donald Glover: “I’m not saying this thing is true or not, I’m just saying it’s what I learned.”

  1. Creativity Is Recession Proof" were the words plastered over the novelty…

Too good not to share!

Applying for jobs and drinking mimosas. Hey, things could be worse; I could be applying for jobs without drinking mimosas.
